Happy Friday everyone!
So this post is just a little update on my program with Alex and Adam down the LBP road. I am three weeks into this little journey and I think I am getting the hang of it.
Meal prep is a big game changer, and now that I feel I am getting to grips with it – I feel much better about the next 2 months. I am cooking bigger batches of turkey burgers and spaghetti bolognese for those high calorie days and I am enjoying eating lots more fruit and veg. I have also realised that volume is so important and does not necessarily mean you are consuming as many calories as you might think.
Now for someone like myself (a massive foodie) I have found this way of losing weight the most beneficial. I have tried diets and “cleanses” and its safe to say that if you really want to live clean and healthy – you have to eat healthy and exercise and of course drink plenty water. There is no other way of explaining it. Granted it may be difficult but if you really want something you will work for it – not cheat it. I definitely think its easier and healthier than starving myself and only taking tablets and shakes. I love food to much for that!
As for the exercise – it’s gruelling but I went to the gym this week and I have upped my weights slightly and I am well on my way to being able to do a chin up. (My original goal for this program -pull ups – chin ups are the first step)
I am so pleased with the program and my coaches are great – they check up on me and my progress and ensure that i’m keeping up with their suggestions. I am enjoying myself…. so far – hopefully I can tell you the same thing when I finish in June. Ready to continue it by myself!
